Armenian International Medical Fund (AIM Fund) was formed in May of 2003 as a non-profit organization. Our mission is to create and maintain innovative health care programs in Armenia with the intention of making Armenia as the Regional Center in the Caucuses. One of the major endeavors of our organization is to provide free hearing screenings, hearing aids at minimum cost, perform BAHA and Cochlear implant surgeries and train future otologists in Armenia.

Arthur Pashikian is a 29 years old Armenian artist living in Yerevan, Armenia who started painting at a very young age. Few years ago, Arthur gradually started losing his hearing, ashamed to tell anyone except his immediate family. Due to this unexpected hearing loss, Arthur was so emotionally traumatized that he stopped painting.

In 2009, Arthur's aunt, who lives in Boston, heard about Armenian International Medical Fund's philanthropic work in Armenia and contacted Salpy Akaragian. Within a year after that conversation, Dr. Akira Ishiyama and his medical team operated on Arthur and gave him "gift of hearing" with cochlear implantation. Since then, Arthur got married, was blessed with a little girl, and begun painting again. As Arthur said to Salpy Akaragian:"By getting my hearing back you have ignited my spirit of wanting to paint again". Inspired by gaining his hearing back, Arthur expanded his painting style to include contemporary art as well.

Arthur, so moved with AIM Fund's work in Armenia, decided to donate some of the proceedings from his paintings to the foundation to help others receive "gift of hearing". Please support Arthur's talents by purchasing his paintings posted on our website with pricing and sizes. If you are interested in any of the paintings, please contact AIM Fund at 818-257-8998.
